Canada’s Group B at the 2026 World Cup: Fixtures, Teams & Betting Odds

Canada’s Group B at the 2026 World Cup features Switzerland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Qatar – giving the co-hosts a realistic but challenging path to the Round of 32. All three of Canada’s group stage fixtures will be played on home soil in Toronto and Vancouver, making this one of the most exciting betting opportunities for Canadian soccer fans here at Ozoon Sportsbook.

Here’s what you need to know up front (odds correct as of June 2):

Group B: Canada, Switzerland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Qatar.

All three Canada matches at home: BMO Field (Toronto) and BC Place (Vancouver).

Switzerland are the group favourites at –135; Canada are the closest challengers at +200.

Team captain Alphonso Davies (hamstring) has been named for the 26-man squad, but is unlikely to feature in the June 12 opener; Davies is hopeful to return later in the tournament.

With 32 of the 48 teams qualifying for the knockouts, Canada to Advance from Group Stage (–450) is the headline market for Canadian bettors at Ozoon.

Group B in FIFA World Cup including Canada

Who is in Canada’s World Cup Group?

Group B is made up of four teams: Canada, Switzerland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Qatar.

Switzerland are the group favourites. Built around experienced European talent and coming off consecutive knockout appearances at major tournaments, the Red Crosses are the side Canada must beat to win Group B.

Bosnia & Herzegovina reached only their second World Cup (the first was 2014) through the UEFA playoff, where the Golden Lilies beat the four-time champions from Italy in the final on penalties – thus denying Italy yet another World Cup appearance. Veteran striker and team captain Edin Dzeko remains Bosnia’s top threat.

Qatar are the group’s weakest side on paper. Ranked No. 55 in the world by FIFA, the Maroon One went pointless as World Cup hosts in 2022, losing all three group stage matches while scoring just once. Qatar should be a relatively easy win for Team Canada – and for the rest of Group B, which leaves us with a three-horse race for the top two spots. What are Canada’s Group B Fixtures and Dates?

For Canada World Cup fixtures, 2026 is looking very promising indeed. Here’s the complete Group B schedule — for a look at every fixture across all 12 groups, bookmark our full FIFA World Cup 2026 schedule:

June 12: [Canada vs. Bosnia & Herzegovina], BMO Field, Toronto

June 13: Qatar vs. Switzerland, Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara

June 18: Switzerland vs. Bosnia & Herzegovina, SoFi Stadium, Inglewood

June 18: Canada vs. Qatar, BC Place, Vancouver

June 24: [Canada vs. Switzerland], BC Place, Vancouver

June 24: Bosnia & Herzegovina vs. Qatar, Lumen Field, Seattle The two matches on June 24 both start at 3 PM ET. Without knowing the result of the other Group B finale ahead of time, Canada has even more incentive to collect the maximum six points from their first two matches – starting on June 12, where Canada are –117 favourites on the 1X2 moneyline at Ozoon. Again, beating Qatar on June 18 as –305 favourites is a near-must for Canada to advance.

FIFA World Cup Group B Schedule

Can Canada Qualify from Group B?

Absolutely. The Canada World Cup 2026 Group B odds at Ozoon have Canada priced at –450 to advance to the knockouts, which translates to an implied probability of 81.8% that they’ll qualify. Their most likely path is by using their home-field advantage to beat both Bosnia & Herzegovina and Qatar, which would allow Canada to give Switzerland a proper battle for first place in Group B; a draw in the opener might give Canada incentive to play for another draw in their finale, if they end up needing just the single point to advance.

Having said that, Canada still have never won a match at the World Cup, losing all three in 1986 and again in 2022. But expanding this tournament from 32 to 48 teams changes everything – and the Group B draw was a kind one. Here’s a reminder where the soccer odds at Ozoon sit on June 2:

Canada to advance from Group B                –450 (81.8% implied)

Canada to win Group B                                            +200 (33.3%)

Switzerland to win Group B                         –135 (57.4%)

How Does the Alphonso Davies Injury Affect Canada’s Odds?

More than any other factor heading into the World Cup. After two injury-plagued seasons, Davies tore his hamstring playing for Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 6. Despite an expected recovery time of 4 to 5 weeks, head coach Jesse Marsch says Davies is unlikely to be ready for Canada’s June 12 opener, although Marsch expects him to feature at some point during the tournament.

It doesn’t look like the Canada World Cup odds at Ozoon have moved much in response to the Davies news, so there might be an open window to betting value on Bosnia & Herzegovina – or maybe those odds had already priced in Davies’s expected absence. Jonathan David is on track to play after wrapping up his Serie A campaign with Juventus. For a full breakdown of Canada’s top players and their FIFA ratings, see who are the best Canadian players in FIFA World Cup.; team vice-captain Stephen Eustaquio (leg) also appears healthy enough for the opener. Keep a close eye on the soccer odds and the newswires between now and then to see if you can get a jump on the betting market.

What are the Best Bets for Canada’s Group B?

At Ozoon, the Team Canada markets with the most betting value attached include the following:

– Canada to Advance From Group

– Canada to win vs. Qatar (match result)

– Jonathan David Anytime Goal Scorer

– Over/Under (total goals scored) in Canada vs. Bosnia & Herzegovina

Whichever lines you choose, Ozoon is the place to bet on Canada’s 2026 World Cup journey. Where are Canada’s 2026 World Cup games being played?

All three of Canada’s Group B matches are at home – at BMO Field in Toronto and BC Place in Vancouver.  If they qualify, Canada’s venues for the knockout stage will depend on their finish during the group stage.

Who is Canada’s best player at the 2026 World Cup?

Alphonso Davies is Canada’s standout talent, though his hamstring injury makes him unlikely for the June 12 opener. Jonathan David is Canada’s top goal-scoring threat.

Is Switzerland favourite to win Group B?

Yes. Switzerland are priced at –135 to win Group B, with Canada (+200) as their closest challenger.
